The elimination of squeaks, creaks and rattles has been the focus of much research by automotive manufacturers.
Three years ago Wardle Storeys initiated a programme to study squeaking on vinyl surfaces, with the objective of developing the quietest surface, consistent with retaining other properties (resistance to cracking when flexed for example).
The results of these tests showed that 90% of all leather creaks were eliminated when Anti-Squeak PVC was used on the seat.
